Biography
Hello, my name is Erik Rossâ„¢ and I'm a Grade 10 Media Arts (at the time of making this website) student at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School. I really like to use Photoshop for editing pictures that I find on the internet. Initially, I didn't know what Media Arts was and I had to take it because I didn't want to take Gym. After I started Media Arts I really began to enjoy working on the computers and trying to be creative even though sometimes my brain wouldn't process anything. I like to listen to music while I photoshop and/or take pictures. My favourite type of music is anything that "Monstercat" releases (hence the Monstercat logo on the title of the website) the music is EDM (Electronic Dance Music) which includes Tristam, Pegboard Nerds, Direct, Au5, etc. I like to work with the other students in the class as well as the teacher. They help me improve my skills and help me make creative decisions and I help them out as well (how to save a .jpg is an example). My favourite project that we did this semester was the foodscape, which was when we made a landscape using only food items in Photoshop. I very much hope to continue in Media Arts because it is really fun and I like it a lot.
People who contribute to my successes/failures :
The people who contribute the most to my successes and failures would have to be my parents. They always tell me that I should do what I want to do (most of the time). Sometimes school gets in the way of the stuff that I like to do and my Mom decides to revoke her wanting me to do what I want.
People I would like to work for/with :
I would definetely love to work with music companies, like Monstercat, Mr. Suicide Sheep, etc., designing logos and ep covers. I think that once I get enough training in the Arts I could eventually do something like that. Or, I could try to do something with music. Just something in the arts would be best for me.
